A goodly number of her de-1 acendants were present and made the day a memorable one to this good lady. At noon a sumptuous dinner was spread, over which! Grandma Dougherty presided. The decorations were roses and carna-j tiona, and the center of the table I was given to the birthday cake, I which was a handsome white pyra-1 mid aurmouted with 100 lighted] candles. After dinner a picture was taken of Grandma Dougherty and her children. A picture was jalao taken of the grand children and the greatgrandchildren. It] was a greet family gathering and the occasion for it made it a no-1 table one. Grandma Dougherty,! despite her one hundred years re-1 tains her mental faculties to a re- ] markable extent, but her physical strength is not great.
