Mr. and Mrs. G. H. lightfoot, 265 Cadillac Avenue, will celebrate their golden wedding anniversary on Saturday, Jan. 28. They will be honored at an “open house” from 1 to 5 p.m. at the home of their son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. David Fan-thorpe, 1154 Greenwood Avenue. Residents of Victoria for close to six years, Mr. and Mrs. Lightfoot were married Jan. 27, 1917. They homesteaded in Alberta for 25 years before moving to the west coast in 1946. Mr. Lightfoot Is a veteran of the First World War. The couple has another daughter, Mrs. Garth Albiston, Lethbridge, Alta., and a son, Le Roy Lightfoot, Edmonton. Their second son, George, was killed in the Second World War. Ttey have six grandchildren.
