St.John led 5-2, 13-6, and 15-10 by the quarters.The Falcons took the lead with 2 minutes left in the game. Both teams exchanged baskets The St. John forwards press forced a turnover with 19 seconds remaining. St. John led 14* 13 at the close of the initial period, but Dunne was out front 29-26 at the close of the half and 45-31 at the end of the 3rd period.Dennis Laza paced St. John with 23 pts. Randy Haskovec added 10, Alvin Blazek 6, Paul Prachyl 4, and Mark Strunc 3. Eddie Wattley poured in 30 pts. to pace the Falcons.The St. John Boys (24-7) will host Waco Reicher in a crucial district game Friday night at 7 :30. The B-boys will play at 6. Tyler Gorman defeated Waco Reicher Tuesday night in Tyler.It will be homecoming for St. John Friday night. There will be a dance after the game at the KJT Hall from 10 to 1 a m.
