The social given by the members-of the colored church Monday evening at Temperance Hall, was a pleasant affair and netted $19.02. Miss Cora Bass, daughter of Eli Bass, was voted a handsome set of vases for being the most popular young lady present. The young lady bore up under the compliment with becoming grace.
