Rig Catapults CarMan Killed, 2 Injured in 1-81 CrashBy RICK MORIARTYA traetor-trailer rig plowed into a ear that had run out of gas on Interstate 81 near Nedrow Thursday night, knocking the ear 200 feet through the air and killing a Jamesville teen-ager.Two other Jamesville residents, including a 12-year-old boy, were seriously injured in the crash.The full-size car, with most of its rear section ripped away, landed on Quarry Road, parallel to the interstate in the Onondaga Indian Nation.All three victims were sitting in the back seat of the car — waiting for the driver and another passenger to return with gasoline — when the accident occurred, Onondaga County sheriff s deputies said.Deputies identified the dead man as Shawn Carlton, 19, of 6465 Oschner Road, Jamesville. He diedat University Hospital from multiple injuries about 10:25 p.m. — four hours after the crash.Joshua McMillan, 12, of Gordon Cooper Drive, Jamesville, was. taken to .
