A Christian optimist, her influence was always inspiring: and as neighbors and friends we can bearour testimony that none ever wentout from her presence without receiving new faith and increased zeal for the battle of life- Her brave ant! courageous fight for life was the wonder of ail but when she knew that she could not get well, her faith and hope did not for a moment falter and she met death as bravely and courageously as khe had fought for health and life. In her hist hours, she expressed her appreciation and thanks for the many kindnesses shown by her friends with a measure of surprise that she had so many of them. We can not think of Dana as dead but as having fadedfrom our mortal sight into the gloryof heaven just as the morning star faded away in the growing splendor of the rising sun last Sabbath morning. But she lives, lives in all the fullness and glory of the eternal, unclouded day and there we shall meet her again and be with hey in sweet companionship forever, What a world were this: how unendurable its weight If they whom death hath sundered did not meet again?” The funeral services were held from the Christian church in Danville, Tuesday morning, Jan. 11, 1916, conducted by Revs. Lee and Sherrill, the latter an old friend of the deceased and family, paying the tribute of respect. And then, just as the sun was declining, all that was mortal was laid to rest in the beautiful Stilesville cemetery and was left in Cod's Acre, sleeping under a carpet of lovely flowers.
