By a curious combination of accidents we have been unable to obtain tho particulars of the following bit of news until a few days ago: On December 24th Mr. and Mrs. John G. Emery celebrated their 35th wedding anniversary. All tho children, Will of Madison, Wis,, Fred of Dwight, 111, and George of Bloomington were present with their families. Mr. Emery received a handsome gold watch and both Mr. and Mrs. Emery $25 besides many other useful presents. The day was spent in a moat pleasant manner and both Mr. and Mrs. Emery and their children will long remember the occasion The News wishes to add its congratulations to those of the hosts of Mr. and Mrs. Emery *r friends and although it does so at a very late date it is most sincere in its well wishing.
