Sophia Barten Mr:Funeral services will he held Fu Sunday for Mrs. .Sophia Barten. day 79. of Manhattan township near Mrs. Frankfort. Mrs. Barten died at Rcgc Silver Cross hospital in Joliet died after a lingering illness. i hospHer body will lie in state at ( Mr the United Church of Christ in 16. 1 Manhattan at 1 pm Sunday lived until the time of services which two will be at 2 pm. The funeral of I will be conducted hv the Rev. Park Eugene Kalkbrenner of the shlt; United Church of Christ, Man- hand hattan. Interment will be at the Bria Manhattan Center cemetery. Hill.Mrs. Barten was born in Manhattan township and resided in the area all of her life.She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.She is survived by six daughters. Ruth Barten, Mrs. LeRny Saggcbruch. Mrs. Wilbur Brookman. and Mrs. Raymond SaggebrucK all of Manhattan.Mrs. John Keubel of Monee. and Mrs. Edmund Ebert of Frankfort; five sons. Lester of Klwood, and Harold, Vernon.Virgil and Orville, all of Manhattan; a sister. Mrs. Alvin Ilarnak of Frankfort; three brothers. Anton Heisner of Manhattan. Adam Heisner of Peo-tone. and George Heisner of Joliet; and 20 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband.
