Hill.Mrs. Barten was born in Manhattan township and resided in the area all of her life.She was a member of St. Paul's United Church of Christ.She is survived by six daughters. Ruth Barten, Mrs. LeRny Saggcbruch. Mrs. Wilbur Brookman. and Mrs. Raymond SaggebrucK all of Manhattan.Mrs. John Keubel of Monee. and Mrs. Edmund Ebert of Frankfort; five sons. Lester of Klwood, and Harold, Vernon.Virgil and Orville, all of Manhattan; a sister. Mrs. Alvin Ilarnak of Frankfort; three brothers. Anton Heisner of Manhattan. Adam Heisner of Peo-tone. and George Heisner of Joliet; and 20 grandchildren.She was preceded in death by her husband.
