I HONORED ON\SILVER ANNIVERSARYSaturday, Jan. 14th, marked th*, silver wedding anniversary of Mtffl and Mrs. Glenn Wroten. In observ-j ance of the event a family dinner was held in the Wroten home Sun-I day. The dinner was brought by the guests and included a two tier wedding cake decorated in cream and silver and topped with an appropriate ornament. The cake provided trie table centerpiece and was graced on either side by silver candles in crystal holders. The silver and white napkins carried out the silver anniversary motif.Present for the dinner and aftei-noon were Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Atkinson, Misses Clara and Henrietta Buchman, Mr. and Mrs. Glen White and family, Mr. and Mrs. Merlyn White and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Alan White and daughter, Gordon White and Miss Lois Ortiesen, all of Dixon and vicinity, Linda Pashon. Mr. and Mrs. Wroten. It was regretted that Mr. Wroten’s brother-in-law and sister, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Render and family of Moline, were unable to be present because of illness.In the evening a church group called to offer congratulations and good wishes and Mrs. Wroten served cake, coffee and cocoa. The group included Rev. and Mrs. Frank Pedersen and daughters, Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Wallgren, Barbara,'Willard and Don, Mr. and Mrs. Glen Carlson, Donnie and Alan, Miss Joan Price and Arthur Wallgren of Tampico and Leslie Stockton, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Gerber, Lowell and Joyce of Hoop-pole. xFriends also called on Mr. and Mrs. Wroten, Saturday, The couple was presented gifts of silver and ilowers and received many anniversary cards and telephone calls of congratulations.Miss Anna Buchman of Ashton and Glenn Wroten of Tampico were married Jan. 14,, 1925, in an informal home ceremony in Ashton which was attended by members of the Immediate families and close friends. Following a wedding trip to Chicago and Benton Harbor, Mich, the couple came to Tampico and made their home on the farm southwest of here until four years ago w'hen they moved to their present home in town.
