Couple celebrates 50th anniversaryMR. and MRS. LEONARD DAVISALVERDA — Leonard and Geraldine Hicks Davis, Aiverda, are celebrating their golden wedding anniversary today with a family dinner.They were married Jan. 18, 1941, in the Christian and Missionary Alliance Church, Barnes-boro, by Pastor James A. Wagoner. Attending the couple were Frank Davis, Plymouth, Mich.; and Ruth Thiel Harpins, Shapiro, W.Va.Mr. and Mrs. Davis have five children: Deanna Shapiro, Upper Marlboro, Md.; Carole Woods, Aiverda; BarbaraBrandes, Wexford; Leonard J., Aiverda; and Kenneth G., Aiverda; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.A reception for friends and relatives will be held at a later time.
