ROBLIN, MANITOBA, WEDNESDAY, JANUARY 18,1978Mr. and Mrs. J. Johnson Celebrate Fiftieth Wedding AnniversaryJim and Margaret Johnson of Treherne, Manitoba., celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary on January 11th, 1978. Margaret is the former Margaret Burell. Margaret and Jim were married January 11th, 1928 at the Burrell home by Rev. McConnell and began their married life on the farm where Ed Lender-beck’s now residing. In 1942 they moved to Treherne, Manitoba where Jim’s family were pioneer settlers. Jim and Margaret farmed in the Camille District till 1968 when they retired, moving into the town of Treherne, where they now reside.They have three children, Thomas of Calgary, Alberta, Neil of Spruce Grove, Alberta and (Shirley) Mrs. Karlowsky of Winnipeg, Man.; eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren.Mrs. Rita Stinson held a Come Go Tea on Wednesday afternoon in their honor. Centering the table at this tea was a three tier wedding cake made by Mrs. Alice Murray and Mrs. Gladys Maguire and decorated by a niece, Mrs. margaret Falkiner of Kamsack, Sask.
