Phillips, an admitted former member of the Communist party, today faced possible dismissal from the faculty of the FullertonUnion High School Junior College District.School trustees adopted a resolution Monday night on the recommendation of Orange County Counsel George Holden suspending Phillips with the intention of dismissing him.Holden said Phillips* dismissal would be automatic if he fails to ask for a Superior Court hearing within 30 days on the charges of unprofessional conduct and violation of the loyalty oath. *Phillips, a welding instructor, testified he had been a member of the Communist party since 1938.
