White tapers and pedestal arrangements of gladioli formed the decorations of the altar of the First Christian Church, Sunday, January 13, for the marriage of Miss Janice Erickson, daughter of Mrs. Maxine Erickson of Grant, and Delmer Erickson of Fairbury, to Robert Brockmever, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl ffrockmeyer of Jan-st n. The double ring ceremony was solemnized at three o’clock by Rev. Grover Thompson. White bows centered with pink carnations marked the pews.Mrs. Charlotte Henney presented a prelude of organ mu-e sic and played the traditional wedding marches. She accompanied Dale Oltman of Jansen, who sang “Because,” and “The Lord’s Prayer.”The tapers were lighted by Mrs. Wallace Kohl of Belleville, and Miss Rosalie Guszak of Columbus. They wore wThitc rcbes.Miss Donna Nider of Jansen as maid of. honor, and the bridesmaids, Miss Linda Erickson of Grant and Miss Lois Peck of Wichita, wore identical rose velveteen sheath dresses with pink lace over-skirts. They wore pink lace headbands matching their over-skirts and carried matching birdcage baskets of white and pink carnations.Susan Rogge of Fairbury, was Lower girl. She wore a pink dress with a white lace overskirt. Scott Allen Erickson, also of Fairbury. carried the rings on a white satin pillow.Escorted to the altar by her father, the bride wore a floor length gown of white lace over satin. The low rounding neckline was set off by lace patterned flowers and centeredwith seeded rhinestones. Thlt;ies I'hotosnug bodice came to a v-shape in the front. The long fitted sleeves wdth bridal points at the wrists, were trimmed with buttons. The lace skirt was very full in front and was gathered into three tiers of lace in the back. A cornet of , lace dotted with pearls and sequins held her elbowr lengtn veil. She carried a white orchid and rose colored roses , wdth white streamers. (Donald Brockmeyer of Wich- , ita, served his brother as best man. Ushers wrere Richard Koop of Jansen and Allen Hes-son of Wichita.A reception following the ceremony was held in the church parlors. Misses Janice Beetley, Janice Criner, Fairbury, and Janice Huber, Reynolds, assisted. Sherry Clen- , denny of Grant played musical numbers during the reception. ,The four-tiered wedding cake was cut by Mrs. Douglas Thomas of Lincoln. Mrs. Edward Togge of Lincoln presided at the coffee table.In charge of the gifts were Misses Kathy Rohr of Fairbury, Florence Bodtke of Gilead. and Peggy Deterding of Belleville. Miss Marcella Grum-mert of Jansen was in charge of the guest book.The bride attended the Grant high, school and Fairbury College. The bridegroom attended Jansen school and served four ears with the Navy. He is presently employed at Boeing 1 Aircraft in Wichita. ]Following their wedding trip, the couple will be at home at 510 South Spruce Street, Wich- 1 ita, Kas.
