SHEAKLEYVILLE HIGH SCHOOLYear BookFor the first time In its historythe Siieakleyville high school willhave a year book. The members ofthe faculty, as sponsors, will alsoact as advisers for the three main staff departments, namely: Editorial, Mrs. Kelso; bus'ness, Mr. Dickson; and craft, Mr. Walker.Early in the term the students and teachers became interested in publishing an annual but they were discouraged because of the expense involved in a printed year-book of usual proportions. But the plan now under way is to publish the annual by the mimeograph process. It will be a loose-leaf affair, neatly bound, and full of interesting material. More than that valuable educational and business training will be realized by the students as well as recognition of the school’s progress by the community.PersonalityStaff• The staff is made up entirely of students. They are: ; ? r. , ,Editor-in-chief, Marion Kuhn.Assistant Editor, Ellen Moyer.Business Manager, George Barnhart and Irene Fleet.Production Managers, Joe Kosik and Evelyn Graham.Sports Editors, Franklin May and William Larimer.Social and Literary Editors, Geraldine Vaughn and Stella Kltchton.Art Editors, Susie Stallsmith and Lillian Martin.Class Editors, Dorothy McQuiston, Hazel Burnette, Helen Kasik, Lizzie May Steck.Franklin (Buddy) May moved from Charleroi, Pa., to Sheakleyville when in the sixth grade and is nowthe president of the senior class.■During his other three years in high school he was secretary and treasurer of his class.Buddy has been very active In athletics, especially basketball and holdsto his credit the highest number of points made by any player In the Mercer County Clast B League of last year. Ho was elected president of the Athletic Association and sports editor for the high school year-book. Buddy Is also responsible for the issuing of the high school news letter in that he is ecjitor-ln-chlef of the staff.This young man hasn't many idle moments.
