The 15th was the fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. Hiliry Strange and it also was the wedding day of their son, Howard,and Miss Alice Patterson of this city,%Mr. Strange came to Washington Saturday afternoon and secured the license and although it was ■well known among his friends here that he was to be married the following day, only a few knew of the fact in Loogootoe. Nearly a hundred relatives and friends of Mr. andMrs. Hillary Strange had gathered at the Strange home, tlt;Kassist the aged couple in celebrating their wedding anniversary. A few of them knew that tlie wedding was to take place sometime in the day, 'but to the majority the event was unknown, so that when the bride and bfidegrooin, attended by Hugh Faith of this city and Miss Myrtle Osman. entered the room with the Rev.
