Alvah and Polly AshleyAlvah T. and Polly C. Ashley of Snow Camp were honored with a family dinner Dec. 27, 1997, at Pleasant Hill Christian Church in celebration of their 60th wedding anniversary.Hosts were Joan A. Fuquay of Greensboro, the honorees’ daughter, and Tommy A. Ashley of Snow Camp and Ralph C. Ashley of Lexington, their sons.Mrs. Ashley was presented a red rose corsage, and Mr. Ashley received a matching boutonniere.Decorations featured red roses, poinsettias, green tablecloths and candles.The Ashleys were marriedPolly and Alvah AshleyDec. 25, 1937, and they have three children, eight grandchildren and one greatgrandchild.
