Leverett-Dillard nuptials solemnizedMiss Cynthia Lee Leverett, daughter ofPaul and Connie Richerson, Rt. 2, Harrisburg, became the bride of Jeffery Edmund Dillard, son of Eddie and Wilma Dillard, Rt. 45. Carrier Mills on Nov. 29 at 7 p.m. at the Friend Street First Church of God. The Rev. Joe Daniels performed the double ring ceremony before an altar decorated with two baskets of yellow mums with yellow ribbons and an arch with 15 yellow candles and the unity candles.The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a floor length gown of organza and lace designed with a sweetheart neckline, Bishop sleeves, empire waistline and a long train with three rows of ruffles. Her fingertip veil of sheer was outlined in lace and she carried a long cascade bouquet of silk brown and yellow flowers.Miss Joyce Overstreet, maid of honor, wore a long yellow organza dress with a bustle, v-neckline with bow trim, and capelet sleeves. She carried a yellow bouquet of carnations with brown velvet ribbons.Bridesmaids were Cathy Leverett, sister of the bride, and Beth Dillard, sister of the bridegroom. They were dressed identical to the maid of honor.Raymond Kielhorn, Equality, friend of the bridegroom, was best man. Groomsmen were Darryl Allen, brother-in-law of the bridegroom, and Greg Dillard, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Tom Leverett, brother of the bride, and David Farthing, friend of the bridegroom.Aaron Allen, nephew of the bridegroom, was ring bearer.The bridegroom wore a beige tuxedo with an ivory shirt and a brown silk boutonniere. The men in the wedding party wore dark brown tuxedoes with yellow shirts and yellow boutonnieres.The mother of the bride wore a knee-length beige dress with a corsage of white carnations. Mrs. Dillard, mother of the bridegroom, wore a knee-length cadet blue dress. She also had a white carnation corsage.Brenda Betz played the piano, and accompanied Beth Dillard as she sang, “My First Love will be My Last Love,’’ and The Wedding Song.”A reception was held immediately following the ceremony at the Masonic Temple. Hostesses were Debbie Gowdy and Claudia Ferrell, friends of the bride.Julie F'arthing, friend of the bride, registered the guests.
