Later he became a member of the board.Miss Ann Matthews,librarian, said, “he gave valuable assistance to the library.'*While Burnham served on the board, the bookmobile was added to the library and services throughout the county were started. A garage was built onto the Sylvester Library building and a room for the county work was constructed. In addition, two more people were added to the library board.Burnham, who said, “I think libraries are wonderful, attributed his interest in reading to his mother who “was always getting books from the library.”Burnham is treasurer of the A.I. Root Co.
