olMiss Pearl Merril and Jesse Keller [ gave their friends quite a surprise by getting married Saturday. The bride jT one of our most charming young' ^ ladies of our community anjl is the daughter of Mrs. George Robinson. She graduated from, the common school in 1915. Mr. Kellar, who lives on a farm near here, is a contractor. Their many friends extend their heartiest congratulations.Mr- and Jas. Stearns spent a few days in North Vernon with relatives this week.Ezra Hooker, who resided on a farm south of here, accidently fell from the roof to a cement floor, which resulted in instant death. Mr. Hooker has long been a resident of this community, .and attended church here. He was a good citizen, a good Christian and always ready to work for his Master. His death was a grievous shock to his many friends and bis good council and cheerful smile will be missed by us all. The funeral services were held at the U. B. ChurchFriday.
