Their Golden WeddingLast week we only had time to speak in a brief way of the Pinker- ! ton golden wedding, and could only s make mention of the program, j This golden anniversary was an un- : v usual one for many reasons. First • there were so many relatives present bon both sides, and second, the affair ! awas so well planned. Miss Mollie iPinkerton, a daughter, had matters ’oebvt:nntlPtlSiC4Cl11so well arranged that there was not: ^ a mistake in the evening's entertainment. Wesley Pinkerton is 74 years of age and the wife 72, and they were never in better spirits than on this occasion. Mr. Pinkerton has not only been a life long church member, but has been a minister in the Evangelical church for a number of years. While many remarks were made by those who were there, the talk of Father Pinkerton and that of his daughter are worthy of a place in our columns had we the space. Mr. Pinkerton closedby inviting all to be present at their next golden wedding, hut promised them it would not be held in Milford but in their heavenly mansion. The daughter, in her family history said their home had been a pleasant one, and much of the pleasantness was due to family prayer, and then asked what could present a more beautiful scene than a family engaged in prayer. There were manyaged relatives present and among*them were: Mrs. James Sumpter, a sister of Wesley Pinkerton, Isiah and Isaac Kinney, brothers of Mrs. Pinkerton and John Pinkerton of Warsaw. At the close a cake was brought out by Mrs. Wesley Pinkerton containing a ring. They having four granddaughters.namely: Muriel Gibson, Eloise Pinkerton, Trella and Gwen Caris, the cake was cut in four pieces and the lucky quarter fell to Muriel.clt;iaclt;nChsinistlirnvs
