Parry, of Walk*; eraviile, Ibis county, celebrated their; fiftieth wedding anniversary on December 25, Christmas day, by entertaining their children and near friends.After a dinner, which did credit to the hospitality of the aged couple, Mr. J. W. Long made a presentation in behalf of the children, lo Mr. Perry, a pair of gold spectacles and to Mrs. Perry a handsome gold Tiffany ring.Mr. Perry was born at Laiteraburg. Washington comity, Md„ and. was the son of Jacob and Mary Perry, who resided at Springfield, this oonnty, at She time of his marriage.On December 25, 1555, he was married to Martha A. Geesey, who was born in this oonnty and was the daughter of Eli S. and Sophia Geesey. Mr. Parry has one surviving brother, James P. Perry, of Frederick. Mrs. Perry has two sfsters living—Mrs. D. E. Staaffsr, of Walkeraviile, and Mrs Katie Oonolly, of Chicago, Illinois. The aged couple hare six children living: Dr. W. E- Perry. Halltown, W- Y*.; James P. Perry, ASarth. Baltimore, Ohio; Mrs. J. W- Long, WalkersvHie; John J. Perry, manager Florists’ Exchange, Baltimore; W- K- Parry, Walkeraviile, and Mrs H. E. Gregory, of Baltimore.Mr. Perry began life as an undertaker and contractor, which he followed np to within a few years. In his early life he was an active Republican, but for some years has been identified with the Prohibition party,of which he is an ardent and enthusiastic advocate. They are members of the United Brethren church and their home was frequently visited by Bishops Glossbranner, Mark wood andI others. They have the best wishes of a host of friends.
