ing /AnniversaryMr. and Mrs. Theodore W. Twigg Sr., Oldtown, were honored recently on the occasion of their 50th wedding anniversary. The reception took place at the District 16 Fire Hall and was hosted by their children.Mr. and Mrs. Twigg, the former Frances M. Bloss, were married Nov. 24,1938.Mr. Twigg is retired from the Schmidt Baking Company. Both he and his wife are members of the Oldtown United Methodist Church.The couple has four children: Theodore W. Twigg Jr., Myrtle Beach, S.C.; Earl Twigg and Ed Twigg, both of Oldtown; and Faye Barton, Cumberland. They also have seven grandchildren and two great-grandsons.The invocation was given by Benjamin Smith. The couple was presented with a corsage and boutonniere by their grandchildren.The traditional gold and white color scheme was used in the decorations. The three-tier cake was baked by Mrs. Helen Henderson.Approximatley 100 friends and relatives attended the celebration. Out of town guests were from South Carolina, Virginia, West Virginia and Pennsylvania.nT3 T3
