Golden Wedding AnniversaryGleaner Western BureauMr. and Mrs. Felix Reid of Chatham, St. James, celebrated their golden wedding anniversary on Wednesday, December SO, 1981 at their home.Eight of the couple's 11 children were at the anniversary celebrations. They were: Lloyd, Sel-bourne. Mortimer, How* ard, Winston, Delrose, Carl and Latcelle. The other three Daisy (England), Audley (Toronto) and Asquith (South Carolina) sent their con-gra t u I a t ion s andexpressed regret at being absent.The Rev, Wesley Green blessed the couple who renewed their marriagevows. He wished the couple continued happiness and prosperity and a hope that they would live to celebrate their “diamond anniversary”.Mr. Lawford Barnett officiated as the Master of Ceremonies and other speakers included: Mr. Lester Chambers; Mr. Finikin, retired^ principal of Adelpbi School; Mr. Obie Ferguson, Mr. Aldain Barnett and Mr. Owen Lowe. ^Felix and Grace Reid were married on December 30, 1931 by the Rev.. Mr. Burgess at the Bethtephi! Baptist Church. Grace was then 17 years old and Felix 19.
