Cynthia Dillard, Darryl Allen exchange vowsMiss Cynthta Dillard, daughter 01 Mr. and Mrs. Eddie Dillard of Carrier Mills, became the bride of Darryl Allen, son of Mr. and Mrs. Hay Allen of Galatia in a double ring ceremony performedon Nov. 7,1975. The Rev. OUvnar Hill performed the ceremony at the Fir* Church of God in Carrier Mills. The unity ceremony was also used. Ilia altar was beautifully decorated with a lS-branched candelabra with orchid burning tapers ent-Wined with miniature orchids and Wedding baskets of white and Orchid flowers.; The bride was eecorted down the aisle by her father and given |n marriage by her parenta. She wore a white double knit wedding govfn deeigned with an empire waist, high neckline and bishopsleeves with lace trim. Her elbowlength veil of silk illusion wasSecured to a floral headpiece. SheCarried a bouquet of two orchids lad greenery with orchid Streamers tied in low's knots.; Mias Beth Ann Dillard, sister ofthe bride, was maid of honor. Misses Linda Allen and Brands Allan, siriers of the bridegroom, were the bridesmaids. They wort hatching gowns of orchid dcgaraa fashioned with a high Waist and long sheer sleeves. They wore large orchid bows in(heir hair and carried a houqnstlt;f white daisies and orchid pompswith orchid streamers.•; Ren Thompson of Carrier Mills ^ best man. Groomsmen were regory Dillard and Jeffrey “ \ brothers of the bride, they also served ae ushers andqgolytes.•Mrs. Gene Overstreet was pfiuiist and accompanied Mrs. fbnnie Walls, soloist, as she sang, “Always, and “Twelfth of {feverThe bride’s mother wore aa blue floor length double knit with a brown knit jacket and matching accessories. Her oorsage was white carnations tipped in aqua. Mrs. Allen chose far her son’s wedding a floor length dress of orchid with a White ruffle at the bottom of the skirt and matching She wore a white carnation corsage tipped in orchid.A reception was held immediately following the»»()ceremony in the Municipal Building. The bride's table wascovered with an orchid doth and■centered with a three-tiered wedding cake with four individual heart shapped cakes decorated with orchid flowers and topped with the miniatureMrs. Shepherd to Host DAR Mining Coffee Mrs. Harley Shepherd will host a coffee Monday morning for members of the Michael HiBegas Chapter of Daughters of thebride and bridegroom. Hostessesat the reception were Mrs. GregDillard, Mrs. Ronnie Wells, Mrs. Lavera Field, aunt of thebride, and Mrs. Roger Hooven, the bridegroom’s cousin.The gift table was in charge of Mrs. Greg Dillard and Mrs. Ronnie Weds. Mrs. Ted Layman registered the guests.The new Mrs. Allen is a graduate of Carrier Mills High School and attended SIC. Mr.Allen graduated from Galatia High School and ia employed by Harrtaburg Coal Co. The couple is residing at Route 2, Galatia.a a
