Clear Spring Couple Mark AnniversaryCLEAR SPRING — Mr. and Mrs. Paul M, Shank, this city, celebrated their lorty - fifth wedding anniversary on Sunday December 27, at a reception in the Clear Spring Fire llall.The Shanks were married December 24, 1919, in (he Hagerstown Church of the Brclh-ren by the Rev, G, L Rider, D/D.Mrs. Shank is the former Meta Hull, daughter of lale Lawrence anti Susan (Tmmpower'S Hull. Mr. Shank is the son of the late Isaac and Bessie (Roney) Shank.They have lived all their lives in the Clear Spring-Big Spring area.Blue and white streamers, white wedding bells and arrangements of white pompons, greens and red poinsettias crcatcd a festive setting for the reception.The serving table was centered with a three - tiered cake decorated with a silver “45’ and set in a garland of pine and hemlock. The table also held silver wedding bells centered with blue, while and silver flowers, and arrangements of white pompons and candles.Mrs. Leroy P. Shank cut and served the coke, while Mrs. Hon a Id Shank poured punch,Mrs, Hillard Shank and Mrs. Walter Malcolm were in charge of the gift table, and Mrs. John Mills, Mrs, Hillard Shank and Mrs. Leroy Shank greeted guests.The Shanks hove four children, who were hosts at the reception, and three grandchildren.They received many lovely
