Announcement was made bv PatCarroll, chairman of the Jaycee Junior Ski School.The films will show ski instruction, jumping, slalom and downhill skiing. Javcees have a towset up at the north end of the last section of Riverside Park, abovethe wading pool.When the project was instituted last year by Kenneth Lagerman, 85 students enrolled in classes butbv the time the last of the snowwas on the ground, some 150youngsters were participating. Entire Cub Scout dons were taking advantage of the fun as were little folks only 4 years of age In arranging for the opening ofthe school again this winter, Jaycees four months ago obtained a1936 truck engine to power a towrope on the Riverside Park 300-footrun.Power Plant BuiltWheels, rope, hardware, parts and welding were contr.buted free of charge or at discount as were lumber and other materials to build the 10 bv 20-foot house forthe ‘power plant. Skis, poles.bindings, advertising and moneywere also donated.Business places and industries i assisted as did the city recreation department. Fort Atkinson’s North H 11s Ski Club. Bricklayers andMasons l ocal No. 7.Jaycees expect 300 to 500 children to enroll this vear. There isno charge but the written permission of parents is required if the child is to use the tow. Persons j| trained in first aid will be present.
