‘A surprise 40th anniver sary reception was held In the Legion Hall Dec. 28th by frie nds of the community to hon oor Mr. Mr. Cliff Kemp who ‘were married Dec. 4, 1985 at the home of Mrs. Kemp's parents on the Forest Reserve in Big River. ‘The table was decorated with a blue and white table loth with blue favors and bells with lace place mats and a two tier wedding cake topped with a bride and groom. Seated at the head table with Cliff and Flo were their daughter Norma, Mrs. Kemp's sister Dorothy Blatz of meagow Saxe and Sarah Te st of Prince Albert. ‘When the guests arrived the friends present sang “For They are Jolly Good Fellows ‘Albert Hannigan said grace efore everyone enjoyed lovely buffet lunch. ‘The wedding cake was cut and passed around by Mr. Mrs. Kemp. ‘Mr. Mrs. Kemp have res ided in Big River all of their married life. Cliff was employ ed by the Sask. Timber Board for 25 years and retired in Big River. They have six child ren. Leonard, Jack and Ruth reside in Prince George, B.C. Robert in Innisfall, Alta, David in Saskatoon and Nor ma in Prince Albert. They also have 11 grandchildren. The only members of the family able to attend were Bob and family and Norma. Others attending were Dorothy Blatz, Collette and Brent of Meadow Lake, and sister Sarah Teer and son Ted of Prince Albert, Mr. Mrs. William Freling ‘and son John of Prince Albert. ‘The couple received several gifts and a purse of money.
