n nnmvvjwryMr and Mrs Robert L.Long, Ridgeley, were honored recently with a suprise 40th wedding anniversary party, given by their two daughters and nephew, at the home of their daughter, Jane MorelandThe couple were married December 24, 1939, inCresaptown, at the home of Mr Long’s sister, Edith Lechliter The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Lance K. KnowlesThe couple have two daughters, Jane Moreland and Benita Long, and a nephew Tom Twigg. who has resided with Mr and Mrs Long most of his life. They also have two grandchildren, Brock and Brent Moreland.The red and white color scheme was carried out in the three tiered cake,decorated with red roses. Mary Lou and Tom Twigg served the cake. Edith Smith, a sister of Mrs Long, served punch Sandy Bam-card helped serve refreshments Mary Grady, sister of Mrs. Long, registered the guestsAttending were brothers, sisters in-laws, and friends from West Virginia, Maryland and Pennsylvania
