Lakeland Community College gets back on the basketball trail this weekend by hosting a pair of games.The Lakers take a 5-5 overall mark and 1-3 Turnpike Athletic Conference record into their Friday night meeting with Allegheny Boyce, which is 1-1 in theTAC and 5-3 overall.Then on Saturday, Lakeland hosts future TAC foe Beaver, 0-4 on the year and 0-3 versus Tac teams.The TAC standings show Lorain leading with a 4-0 record. followed by Cuyahoga Metro at 2-0, Allegheny South and Boyce at 1-1 and Lakeland (1-3) before Cuyahoga West brings up the rear at 0-4.TAC foes have handed theLakers two straight losses, something coach Don Delaney would like to put a screeching halt to Friday.George Bevington is the Laker’s leading scorer with an 18.4 average. Teammates .John Ramsey (15-1) and Mike Krause (11.6) add strength and have taken game honors when the big man is double tearnmed.The Lakers finished 14-12 a year ago, Delaney’s first season at the helm.
