Harry Slay mans Wed 40 YearsMr. and Mrs. Hany Slayman of 3rd Ave. SE, Beach City, who were observing their 40th wedding anniversary, were guests of honor at a dinner party given recently in Cindy’s Restaurant. Their children and the children’sfamiles were hosts for the event.The Slaymans were married Nov. 27, 1924 in Strasburg EUB parsonage with Rev. W. W. Moody as officiant. They delayed celebrating the anniversary this year until a son, Paul, who is stationed at Ft. Dix, N. J., could attend.Their other children are: Mrs.Evans (Clara Jane) Barnhart of Massillon; Mrs. Donald (Betty) Neidenthal of Strasburg; Mrs. Frank (Nancy) Fox, Mrs. Galep (Mabel) Kandell, Robert and Harry Jr. of Beach City. They have 7 grandchildren.Others attending were Mr. Slayman’s mother, Mrs. Elsina Slayman and Mrs. Slayman’s sister, Mrs. Mabel Sprankle, both of Beach City.In keeping with the 40th or ruby anniversary the children gave their mother ruby earrings and a brooch and their fatherRainbow Girla ruby-studded tie tack.The table was centered withUnit' Electsan arrangement of flowers and ruby candles in milk glass holders completed the appointments.
