Commissioners Re-Elect Officers, OK $1,251,470 For 72 OperationsHocking County commissioners, at their reorganizational meeting Monday, re-elected Otto Shaw as president and Grant Smith as vice president, and approved 1972 appropriations of $1,251,470 — up $75,870 from a year ago.General fund appropriationstotaled $535,000 — up $31,000 from 1971. Other 1972 allocations included $706,500 for the motor vehicle and gasoline tax fund; $7,290 for the dog and kennel fund and $2,680 for the specialsoil and water conservation fund.Commissioners earlier approved temporary appropriations of$100,000 for the engineer’s department to provide for normal improvements, maintenance and repair of all bridges and highways until March 1 when the road program will be submitted to commissioners by George Mara, county engineer.rehired Charles Waugh as Courthouse custodian at $490 per month, and rehired Mrs. Stella Patton as assistant custodian at $50 per week.James Leonard was rehired as dog warden at a salary of $335 per month and Robert Rower of Carroll was rehired as apiary inspector at a salary of $18 per day, plus travel, with the total not to exceed $300 per year.Mileage allowance of 10 cents per mile was approved for county employes using personal cars to execute county business.Commissioners will continue to hold weekly meetings at 9:30 a.m. each Wednesday.Commissioners rehired Mrs. Wilma Ganocy as their clerk at a salary of $360 per month;
