Stanbery was the third to die among the four persons immediately concerned In the automobile uccident at Dunellen, on August 30, and no wthe fourth, former Freeholder William A. Westphal, Is in a critical condition. Westphal is said to be afflicted with dropsy of the leg, which has developed in the lost few weeks. His wife, Mrs. Westphal, who had been In Stanbery’s company, was thrown across the roadway when she was riding with him at the time of the crash. Her death occurred three days later In Muhlenberg Hospital. The driver of the carriage Into which Stanbery’s auto crashed, Oscar Harrison, commenced civil suit against him, and after several trials both ho and Harrison were indicted for manslaughter.In the meantime tho socond chapter ol the sensational case occurred when Mrs, William H. Stanbery, who had growr melancholy over tho notoriety gained by the affair, killed herself by drinking carbolic aeld.
