FORMER RESIDENT BURIED.Funeral services for Mrs. Drake Nelson, 70 years old, of Ophiem, who died of complications Friday evening at 8.40 o'clock at the Moline Lutheran hospital after a two years' illness, were held at 1.30 o'clock at the j Ophiem Lutheran church with Rev. P. A. Edquist officiating. Student Bertyl Edquist read the words, “At eventide there shall be light and made a short talk. Rev. Edquist read a verse from the Thirteenth Psalm in Swedish on which he based his talk in that language. The singers were Rev. Edquist and son Bertyl, who s sang, “Herr mitt hjerte laugter i still- j het till dig and Bertyl sang as a solo, “Nearei, Still Nearer, Close to My Heart.”The pall bearers were Carl Anderson, Almon Thorsell, John Benson, Ernest Lindbeck, Emanuel Briggs and John M. Peterson.The floral offerings were beautiful and profuse.The remains were brought to the Woodhull cemetery where interment took place in the family lot. Mrs. Frank E. Anderson sang “Om jng agde altt men icke Jesus at the grave. Rev. Edquist read the scriptures and led in prayer.
