Fred R~ DietzFred R. Dietz, a longtime rest-deat of Hatboro, died Wednesday, Dec. 24, 2003, at his home. Hewas6He was the husband of Marie E. “Betty** Dietz for 45 years.Bom and raised in Doylestown, he was the son of Fred J. and Edna M. Dietz.Bred was a member of the first graduating rfagq from Central Bucks High School in 1933.Prior to Ms retirement in 1998, he was a 20-year Navy veteran and a “plank” owner of VP-66 at Willow Grove NAS- He was an original member of the unit.After his Navy career, he worked at A1 Wilson Pontiac and Santerians in Hatboro.He was an avid Eagles, Phillies and Sixers fan and especially enjoyed the NCAA basketball championship every year.In addition to his wife, Fred is survived by six children: Fred J. Dietz and Suzanne Spiegel, both of Cape May, NX; Jeffrey of Hatboro; Leanne Green of Ferkasie; and Michael and Pamela, both of Hatboro. Also surviving are bis grandchildren, Abigail, Jennifer, Christy, Megan, BUI, Daniel, GabrieHe, Nathan and Lauren; Ms brother. Bill, of Doylestown; a nephew, David Dietz of Ambler, and a niece, Marsha Hallett of Sell-ersville. He was preceded in death by his brother; Jay, in 1983.A memorial service will be held at 2 pjn. Sunday; Jan. 4, at St John’s Lutheran Church, 505 N.
