H. Dittlinger and H. E. Dare, the firm has continued to expand and extend its facilities each year since opening for business in a little 50 by 50 foot sheet metal building. Today Dittlinger Dare occupies a modern stucco structure fronting on both Sixth Street and Avenue A containing nearly 10,-000 feet of floor space.In commenting on their 25 years in Robstown the management said ‘‘above everything else we are proud of the fact that many of our friends and customers today havebeen doing business with our organization continuously since opening our doors 25 years ago. Naturally. we appreciate their continued business during the years which has made our growth possible.“As one of the eldest partnership businesses in Robstown we just wanted to mark the occasion by assuring our friends and customers that the same policies and methods of doing business will continue in the future/'Dittlinger Dare are local De-Soto-Plymouth dealers, maintaining complete sales and service department; they are dealers and service headquarters for Case tractors and farm implements, and are also dealers for G. E. refrigerators, appliances and other allied lines.Dare, a resident of Robstown for 25 years, is well known for his activities in civic and church groups, as is Dittlinger who has been a resident here for 26 years. The latter served as a: alderman onthe Robstown city council for ten years and has been Chief of the Robstown Volunteer Fire Department for nine of the 15 rears he has been associated with thatgroup.Mr. Dare has been known thru the yeai^s for his interest arvproject to benefit Robstown. In the early days he fought for and helped obtain right-of-way for the present Calallen highway. Later he took an active part in esrab-lishing both the city gas and electric departments and was appointed a member of the board of trustees of th »se two systems in October, 1945. succeeding James G.
