All the living members of the family gathered at the home of the parents, Mr. and Mrs. W. C. Mayhew on East Washington street to attend the celebration Of their 50th wedding anniversary. They were married on Feb. 14, 1887, but owing to the inability of several to attend Feb. 14. they decided to have the dinner on New Year's Day. The dinner was a real feast, turkey andeverything that goes with it.In the afternoon they had Fyke the photographer come and take pictures of the group. Those who were present were, Mr. and Mrs. W. (' Mayhew, Jr., and children. Helen and Rodney, Mr. and Mrs. Frank Mayhew, Mr. and Mrs. Earl Draper and son Hugh Calvin of Harrisonville. Mo., Mr. and Mrs. Edd Mayhew and children Aurllla and Edna Maurine. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Mayhew, Mr. and Mrs. Roy Mayhew from Decatur, 111., Mr. and Mrs. Clement Griffith, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Kleese and family.
