50TH ANNMr. and Mrs. TurnerHorace L Turner Jr. and Bonnie Shively Turner of Gastonia celebratedtheir gokim wedding anniversary with thefrfamity. Theyhave a soa Dean L Turner andwile Brandy and a daughter, ShaunaL Turner . They also have four grandchildren, Tyler I. Turner, Nathaniel C. Turner, wBrooklyn S. HaB and Kali L HaE.Horace was bom and raised in Gastonia. He attended Brevard College, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bonnie teOdginaftyftomT^Htsrtiouth,Oblb, and attended Katharine Gbbs Secretarial School in Montclair, New Jersey. While Horace was stationed with the Air Force in Columbus, Ohio, thecouple met and later married. Horace was employed intextiles for many years. He laterretired from Gaston County Schools. Bonnie retired from Boy Scouts of America. Both areactive members of First United Methodist Church, where they have been members of the choir since returning to Gastonia.The Gastonia couple was manied December 30,1981, at Second Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth, Ohio.
