Mrs. lurnerHorace L Turner Jr. and Bonnie Shively Turner of Gastonia celebrated their golden wedding anni-versary with their family. They have a son. Dean L Turner andwife Brandy and a daughter, ShaunaL Turner. They akohave four grandchildren* Tyler |. Turner, Nathaniel G Turner, Brooklyn S. HaD and Kali I. Hal Horace was bom and rased in Gastonia. He attended Brevard College, and is a veteran of the United States Air Force. Bonnie bOrigMty from Portsmouth, Ohfc, and attended Katharine Gibbs Secretarial School in Montclair, New Jersey. While Horace was stationed with the Air Force in Columbus, Ohio, the couple met and later married Horace was employed intextiles for many years. He laterretired from Gaston County Schools. Bonnie retired from Boy Scouts of America Both are active members of First United Methodist Church, where they have been members of the choir since returning to Gastonia.The Gastonia couple was married December 30,1961, at Second Presbyterian Church in Portsmouth, Ohio.
