Testimonial to an Old and Faithful EmployeMr. Nathan Goodrich, who retires from his position as clerk in S. B. Morris’ store next Monday, where he has been for over ten years past, wascalled back into the Carpet Department this morning, where he was followed by all the clerks, and presentedby Mr. Sanford Moms,in an appropriate speech, on behalf of . the firm, with an elegant base-rocker, and a handsome footstool was also presented on behalf of the clerks. Mr. Goodrich responded, thanking the firm and the employes for the kindfeelings displayed by them towardshim. Mr. Goodrich has been in the dry goods business as principal or employe nearly all his life, and is known to almost every man, woman and child in the county, with all of whombhe is deservedly popular, and with whom he bears the highest reputation, as well as with his employers, as an honest, upright man, and a courteous clerk. The Democrat wishes him many happy New Years, and all the prosperity he desires.
