Blue of near West Brooklyn will celebrate their 40th wedding- anniversary with an open house, Sunday, March 2. Friends and relatives are invited to call at their home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.Eva Ide and Milo J. Blue, both of Cornell, 111., were wed Feb. 28, 1912 in Cornell. They came to Lee county in 1920 and farmed near Amboy. They moved to the farm on which they now reside in 1930.The Blues have two children, Mrs. Guy Sloan, Mentor, Ohio, and Mrs. Otto Gehant, Franklin Grove, and seven grandchildren.Highland Avenue Club Meets With Mrs. JenningsMrs. Francis Jennings was hostess to Highland Avenue club members at her home, Monday evening. Games were played with prizes going to Mrs. J. B. Conroy, Mrs. Edward McBride and Mrs. A J. Berner.Refreshments were served at the close of the evening's entertainment.
