Miss Lois Peck and Donald C. Broekmeyer, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carl Broekmeyer of Jansen, were married Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Evangelical and Reforn^ed church near Gladstone, at 7:30 o’clock in the presence of 150 guests.The double ring ceremony was read by Rev. D. Buelter before an altar decollated with two floor baskets of white gladioli and seven branch candelaibra. Candles were also in the windows and the white bridal aisle was marked with bells and lily of the valley and satin bows.A prelude of organ music was played by Mrs. Albert Schoen-rock, who also accompanied David Eisenhauer, who sang “Because” preceding the ceremony, and “Oh Promise Me” and the “Lords Prayer”, as the vows were read.The maid of honor, Miss Don-nalee Nider of Jansen, and bridesmaids, Mrs Donald Peters of Omaha and Mrs. Robert Broekmeyer of Wichita wore identical ballerina length dresses of frosted blue chromespun taffeta, fashioned with full Shirts and low rounded necklines with a bow o f self material at the back.They wore matching headbands, and carried heart shaped boquets of pink carnations.Danny Barber, the groom’s nephew carried the rings on a white satin pillow.Jill Korte, was flower girl, wearing a white lace over taffeta dress fashioned with a full short hooped skirt. She wore a poke bonnet of lace trimmed with ruffles and pink flowers.The bride, who was given in marriage by her uncle, Mariel Johnson, wore a floor length gown of chantilly lace and nylon tulle. Jt ■ was designed with a sabrina neckline, with a lace bodice buttoned down the back and sleeves coming to a bridal point. The full hoop skirt wasALL IN THE EARtrimmed with appliqued lace petals. Her fingertip veil of silk illusion was held in place by a cap of lace trimmed with sequins and seed pearls. Her only jewelry was teardrop pearl earrings, a gift of the groom.She carried a white Bible topped with a white orchid and frenched carnations with satin streamers and pearls.Mrs Broekmeyer had made her home with Mr. and Mrs. Gerald Korte. Mrs. Korte wore a navy blue satin back crepe, Mrs. Broekmeyer, mother of the groom, wore navy blue crepe. Both wore white carnation corsages.A reception was held in the church parlors following the ceremony with Miss Sandra Schoenrock playing the piano throughout.The serving table was centered with a three tiered wedding cake decorated in blue and white and topped with bells.Mrs. C. H. Zook and Mrs. Glenn Hill, aunts of the groom, cut the cake, and his sisters, Mrs. Russell Rogge and Mrs. Dan Barber poured.The bride’s sister Miss Evelyn Peck was in charge of the guest book and Miss Marcella Grum-mert, Mrs. Wallace Kohl, Mrs. Rolan Spilker, and Miss Janice Beetley displayed the gifts.Mr. and Mrs. Broekmeyer both graduated from Fairbury high school and the groom served four years in the navy.For traveling the bride wore a cocoa brown dress, with brown accessories and a white orchid corsage.After a short wedding trip the couple will be at home at 3323 Victor, Wichita, Kans., where they are both employed.Guests from out of town attending the wedding were her sisters, Mrs. Melvin Bergstrom and son of Pennsylvania, Miss Evelyn Peck of Falls City, and brother, Robert Peck of Offut air base, her uncle and aunt Mr. and Mrs. Mariel Johnson and family of Falls City; the groom’s sister, Mrs. Dan Barber of Ogal-lala and aunts and uncles Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Hill of Lincoln and Mr. and Mrs. John Brock-meyer of Beatrice; and Mr. and Mrs. Dan Peters of Omaha.
