His brother enteredthe army and Daley took over the operation of the Park Inn.Two qousins also were called to the colors. They operated the U. S. Cleaners at Midland, and Daley moved the business here, where it functions as Daley’s Hatters and Cleaners at 624 Seventh.George does not claim to know a great deal about the cleaning business, with the exception of meting the public. He has three veteran employes who know their busines. One has been in the business 18 years, another 15 and; another eight.The cleaning business is riding high now and is one of the few that has no ration worries. Ma- j chinery is hard to get but Daley’s 1 Hatters Cleaners have the lat-} est and most modern equipment: in no need of immediate replacement.Daley likes the cleaning business It's a good deal easier than operating a restaurant and the fundamental principles are the same, he says.“I do my level best to give peo-; pie their money’s worth,” is the way he puts it.
