Four Associates Of Chapman HeldMERIDIAN, Miss., Feb, 27 (UP). Four associates of the late Irving (Charles Chapman, one of them his ! alleged wife, were held today on charges of having aided the desperado.Alvin Irons and his wife and D. | E. Buxtrom, a negro, were accused of having harbored and concealed the public enemy who was slain near Philadelphia Sunday night.Mrs. Irons was placed in the cell occupied by her 19-year-old cousin, Ruby Roebuck, for more than 40 days. Officers believed she married Chapman in Eutaw, Ala., last September under the name of M. C. Halvert. She was arrested on charges of giving aid and assistance to Chapman after he shot Patrolman Ralph McNair here Jan. 1.. ^ J_
