Because Castleman is colored it looked like, for awhile, that there would be, on the part of the Richmond team, a protest against his playing; but good sense ruled, and the best of feeling prevailed throughout the game.The points on each side were earned as follows;Richmond—Kemper, 8; Taggart, 8; Ferling, 8; total, 24,.Connersville—Tressler, 13; Henry, 2; Ochiltree, 4; Hlnchman,2; Castleman, 2; total, 23 (skid-doo!).During the last half, the Richmond ea players were badly scared, and they had a right to be. The first half closed with the score 12 to 7, in favor of Richmond.In the last half, by tlu?* hardest kind of fighting on the part of the Connersville team, Richmond’s lead of five points, was steadily decreased, one by one, until when time was called, Richmond lead by only one point.There was a good attendance. Both the student body and outside friends of the players were loyal, A good spirit was manifest in it all. No other crowd has ever been more joyful over a result.
