R,R. Stewarts Of WymoreCelebrate 50th AnniversaryThe fiftieth wedding anniversary of Mr. and Mrs. R. R. Stewart was celebrated Sunday, Febr. 18th. Miss Etta Mae Hines and Robert Ross Stewart were married in Wymore and spent their entire married life there.Their children planned a full day of observance for the occasion. The honored couple with their family attended a special service at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in the morning.The roses used on the altar were a gift of Mrs. Stewart’s brother, W. L. Hines, jr., of Denver. Their four grandsons served as acolytes.A dinner in their honor was held at the home of their daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd Heusman and family.The dining table was set with gold-edged plates, gold-trimmed sugar and creamer and salt and pepper shakers. The centerpiece was a large three tiered cake with golden frosting and topped with a miniature bride and groom. The cake was baked by Mrs. Heusman. On each side of the cake, golden candles in crystal holders were used.Mr. Steu'art’s sister, Mrs. Eva Evans, called long distance from San Francisco during the dinner,to extend congratulations.ReceptionA reception was held in the afternoon from three to five o’clock at the home of their son and daughter-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. John Stewart and Susan, i The rooms w’ere beautiful with the many gifts of flowers sent | the couple.The serving table was covered I with a lace cloth and centered | with a bouquet of yellow jonquils I and yellow’ rosebuds. Gold candles in three branch candelabra lighted the table.White brick ice cream, white cakes frosted in gold and decorated with w’hite roses and coffee were served the guests.Mrs. Elma Hines, Miss Beverly Bednar, Virgie Stewart and Miss Carrie Hines poured.The gold creamer and sugar ' holder used on the serving table was a gift of Mr. Stew'art's sisters, Miss Virgie Stewart, Mrs. Edna Abbey, and Mrs. Paul Wil-i liams.All of Mr. and Mrs. Stewart’schildren were present except their oldest daughter, Mrs. Frank Bingham. Arlington, Calif., and her j children, Mr. and Mrs. Bob Kirch-ner, and children, Ann and Johnny, and Jimmy and Billy Joe, and their youngest son, Dick, who is serving with the armed forces in Korea. Plans were made for the March meeting. It was decided to have a night meeting the children participating. An apron auction will be held and movies will be shown. In the room count the second and fourth grades tied.Mrs. Robert Johnson, guest speaker, told interesting facts of the P.T.A. Founders Day wFas observed with a tea. Mrs. A. Jackson presided.Fete Mae McIntyre On 83rd BirthdayRuth Ball entertained a group of nine last Sunday afternoon a| a tea honoring the 83rd birthday of Mae McIntyre.Birthday cake and ice cream were served. The honored guest was presented with many gifts.
