Over on** thousand guests visitedPublh Library of Yuma last eve-night during the reception hours at the “open house,* birthday party, presided over by the Library Board, the occasion being the second anniversary of this building in the city.Sunset Park, the home of the Library was aglow with red, white andblue lights in honor of the auspicious event, and the old corner lights were again restored to duty and beauty by the City eouncil expressly for this date, and will from now on be kept in order by the park officials.Mrs T. L, Lane and Mrs Jack Cul-lington served several delicious refreshments to the stream of guests that continued to pour through the doors from the opening hours untilthe close.Mrs. C. A Linderaan. greeted the guests at the door, and Miss MaryEiiiabeth Post directed the guests through the rooms and explained the books Mrs Addle Kline and Jane Harris received the gift books and Dorothy Cleve received the moneyoffering* jHundreds of books came in as gifts, and the day was a great success, So report could be obtained last aight as to the tag sale, but the school children, students and teachers of the public schools were busy In the down town section alt day. If they did not sell tags, it was because they didn't try—they were a fine bunch of taggers. The LibraryBoard were tired but happy at theclose of the reception hours last night, for they were assured that the Yuma public was behind the Library forever and a day.
