Pattis, of Providence, on Wednesday evening at the meeting of Charles E. Lawton Post, No. 5, on the occasion of a must interesting and instructive lecture delivered by that gentleman. The subject was “The Confederate Invasion of New Mexico and Arizona in. 18*51-2, and the general verdict was that Comrade Pettis handled it in a masterly manner. Captain Pettis has a very happy way of expressing himself and held the rapt attention of the audience during the on tire delivery.
