Golden Wedding Anniversary*Pekin, Feb. 22.—(Special.)—Fifty years ago today Mr. and Mrs. Anson Leaeh, well known residents of Pekin, were married at the Methodist Episcopal church in this city by Rev. Timothy Crosby.This worthy old couple this afternoon celebrated thetr golden wedding anniversary at the residence of their only daughter, Mrs. George 1*. Kroll, on Washington street, where many friends called on and congratulated them in honor of the important event.Mr. Leach is 76 years of age and came to Pekin in 1817. Mrs. Leach came in 1845 and is 70 years of age.It was a happy event long to be remembered.
