Leo Kahlers Sr. Honored On 50thAnniversary DateMr. and Mrs. Leo Kahler Sr. were honored Sunday, Feb. 19, in celebration of their golden wedding anniversary.All their children and eight of their eleven grandchildren were present for the occasion: Dr. and Mrs. Billy Robertson Jr., Ronald Ed and Robin Ann of Lul-ing, Texas; Dr. and Mrs. Nelson Kahler, Kipling and Kourtenay of Houston; Mr. and Mrs. Leo Kahler Jr., Karen, Kent, and Kay Kahler, and J. E. Masters of Rosebud; and Billy Dale Kahler of Rosebud. MaryLinda Trice, Mike Green, and Dorthy Kasner were present for the celebration..Many other friends and relatives called that afternoon at the reception in the Kahler home. The party table was laid with a white lace cloth trimmed in gold, and held a cake embossed with white icing and decorated with gold roses. The centerpiece was arranged with gold flowers and three large bells, and featured the number 50 in gold.The cake was served from one end of the table and punch from the other.Mr. and Mrs. Kahler were united in marriage Sunday, feb. 17, 1917, in Marlin, Texas, by the Rev. JohnArcher Mclver, pastor of the First Methodist church of Marlin. They have lived all their married life inRosebud.
