Mr. liango J. Fisher, who for the past three yearn line been principally in charge of the Pointe-aux-Loops springs, in the south western part of the parish, where lie has become favorably known to many of our citizens, on Saturday last purchased the Belle Cheney Springs property, from Mr. C. B. Andrns. Mr. Fisher we learn intends to go to work at once to put the springs in order for the accommodation of visitors this spring. Mr. Fisher and liia accom-1 plished lady will no doubt make these springs as attractive a place of resort as they were iu the olden time; when they were the resort of the elite of all the snrroundiug parishes, who resorted thither by the hundred to pass the summer and partake of the liealtb-giving waters of these famous springs, and to enjoy the magnificent hunting and fishing to be found in the neighborhood. We know of no place in southwestern Louisiana which combines so many attractions for the seekers of heAltli, pleasure and recreation. The Bnrronnding country is a high rolling pine woods, teeming with game ; the air pnre nod invigorating; tlio waters possess most decided medicinal virtues ; whilst in the llayou Cocod tie and the lake of the same name near at hand, the perch and tront fishing is nnsurpassed.
